Our congregation has adopted the following mission statement:  “The Mulder Memorial United Methodist Church is a Body of believers participating in the continuing ministry of Jesus Christ in the world.”  Empowered by God’s Holy Spirit, we seek to carry on the work of the Christ through ministries of preaching, teaching, and healing.  These activities, which characterized Jesus’ earthly life according to Matthew 4:23, serve as the vehicles by which we fulfill our mission.

First of all, we “preach the Good News of Jesus Christ through words and deeds.”  This ministry goal is accomplished through mission giving, participation in local and global mission projects, and evangelistic outreach.  Second, we “teach the Word of God through study and fellowship.”  Our congregation is solidly rooted and grounded in the Bible and learning takes place through Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, youth Bible studies, and small group ministries.  Third, we “heal the sick and suffering through prayer and acts of compassion.”  We have witnessed firsthand many persons being restored to wholeness and wellness as we have interceded for those in need.

We are both grateful for what has already been accomplished and excited about the possibilities that await us as we continue to join the Lord in what He is doing in and through this fellowship of believers.
